During the thematic forums of the second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation held in Beijing on April 25, Southwest China's Guizhou province and Mongolia's Ovorkhangai province signed an agreement to become sister provinces.

About 300 representatives of international organizations, entrepreneurs, and experts from home and abroad attended the forum and shared experiences and achievements of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

During the forum, 14 cooperation agreements between China and foreign countries covering friendly relations, humanistic exchanges, as well as economic and trade cooperation were signed, delivering positive signs of participation in BRI construction.

According to the agreement between Guizhou and Ovorkhangai, both provinces will carry out various exchanges and cooperation spanning the economy, agriculture, trade, science, technology, culture, education, and tourism to achieve mutually beneficial development.

Guizhou and Ovorkhangai will encourage companies and social organizations to organize in-depth cooperation, to hold tourism promotion activities, trade fairs and exhibitions, and to provide support for visits by delegations on economic, technological, and cultural exchanges.
