Baltimore furthers exchanges with Xiamen

Cindy Wang, chairwoman of the Baltimore-Xiamen Sister City Committee, visited Xiamen, Fujian province from April 15 to 17 to explore further exchanges between the two cities in various fields.

Lin Na, deputy inspector of Xiamen's Foreign Affairs Office, briefed Wang on Xiamen's economic and social development.

Lin said that thanks to the committee, the two cities have maintained close relations and yielded fruitful results in investment, medical care and education cooperation since they established sister-city relations in 1985.

Chairwoman Wang thanked the foreign affairs office for its support of the two cities' exchanges and cooperation.

She said that she will make contact with the related institutions in Baltimore after visiting the medical care and education institutions in Xiamen to promote their practical cooperation.

Wang visited Xiamen Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, Xiamen Maternity and Child Health Care Hospital, Xiamen Shuangshi Middle School and Xiamen Foreign Service Center during her stay in the city.
