Guangzhou International Medicine Port construction in full swing

The first phase of the Guangzhou International Medicine Port (GIMP) project, the "Health Ark" complex, completed its main structure after sealing its roof on April 26.

The GIMP project is a key move for Guangdong to build itself into a strong province for traditional Chinese medicine and a key project of the 13th Five-Year Plan for Guangzhou.

As the first project of the medicine port, the "Healthy Ark" complex covers a construction area of 870,000 square meters with an investment of 8 billion yuan ($1.2 billion.) It will feature a healthcare exhibition center, an international medical park, and a shopping center, as well as a Chinese herbal medicine trading center, a standardized inspection and testing center, a brand incubation center, and more.
