China Mobile Communications Corporation was incorporated in 2000. The company changed its name in December 2017 to China Mobile Communications Group Co Ltd to reflect its wholly State-owned nature.
As the leading telecommunications services provider in Mainland China, the Group provides full communications services in 31 provinces, autonomous regions and directly-administered municipalities throughout Mainland China and in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region as a major telecommunications operator with the world’s largest network and customer base and a leading position in profitability and market value. Its primary focus is on the mobile voice and data business, wire line broadband and other information and communications services.
China Mobile has been listed in the Fortune Global 500 for 17 consecutive years, and in 2017, it was ranked 47th. It has also been rated as an A-Class enterprise by SASAC evaluation of operation performances for 13 consecutive years.
