The Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University

The Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University, established in 1951, is a 3A-grade comprehensive hospital, the highest of China’s three-tier grading system for public hospitals, and directly administered by the Jiangsu Commission of Health.

After nearly 70 years of development, the hospital has many functions such as medical treatment, medical training, scientific research and public benefit.

Covering 3.9 hectares with a covered area of 90,000 square meters, the hospital has two campuses, one in Jiangjiayuan and one in Sajiawan.

It has 1,600 beds, with 1,520 of them now are available for patients. The number of staff members in the hospital has reached over 2,300.

It runs 37 clinical departments, 12 of which are key clinical specialties at provincial level, such as gastrology, pediatric, gynecology and obstetrics, geriatrics, otolaryngology, oncology, urinary surgery and neurology.
