Lushunkou, located in Liaoning province's Dalian city, received over 56,000 domestic and overseas tourists over the Tomb Sweeping Day holiday, also known as Qingming Festival. This is up 5.7 percent over last year, according to local authorities.

Over the three-day vacation from April 5 to April 7, the city made 10.4 million yuan ($1.55 million) in tourism revenue, up 6 percent year-on-year.

"Flower tourism" attracted many tourists interested in visiting natural and rural scenic areas with family and friends.

During the holiday, local authorities used WeChat to send tourist route recommendations to the public and promote civilized and safe tourism.
