Harbin Sunac Snow World, an indoor ski resort in "Ice City", reopened with upgraded snow tracks on April 1 after a month of renovations.

Located in Songbei district, Sunac Snow World started operating on June 30, 2017 and is open year-round. Covering an area of 80,000 square meters, it has six professional ski tracks with a variety of slopes. The longest ski track is about 500 meters long with a maximum drop of 80 meters. It can accommodate up to 3,000 visitors at once.

To provide visitors with a better skiing experience, four medium and high-level snow tracks covering 35,400 sq were replaced with artificial snow after a month of renovations starting on March 1.

During that time, clothing and equipment were also cleaned, disinfected, and mended.

Meanwhile, registration for the second "Most Beautiful Skiing Girl" competition was launched on April 1.

The competition was designed to stoke enthusiasm for skiing and promote the integration of sports and tourism in Harbin, which would help make the city an attractive destination throughout the year.

Girls who qualify will showcase their beauty and talents during the competition, while also expressing their enthusiasm for skiing.

The top 30 girls will be granted a card with 25 free skiing opportunities, and the first place winner will obtain an award of 10,000 yuan ($1,490.09).
