Revenue of big data companies to exceed 120 b yuan

The 2019 Guiyang Big Data Development Conference was held in Guiyang, capital city of Guizhou province, on April 1. It is reported that a document on big data development of the city was issued to give clear development targets for this year.

The document notes that the main business revenue of big data enterprises in Guiyang will exceed 120 billion ($17.89 billion) yuan in 2019, an increase of 20 percent compared with last year. The income of the full-caliber software and information technology services industry will reach 32.6 billion yuan, an increase of 16.4 percent. A total of 50 new above-scale big data enterprises will attract an investment of 16.5 billion yuan.

The main business revenue of the software service outsourcing and call center industry is striving to exceed 10 billion yuan. The total revenue of telecommunication business will reach 65 billion yuan. Additionally, 25 billion yuan will be invested in infrastructure construction to improve broadband speed, achieving full coverage of 4G network in the smallest village units, which consists of more than 30 households.

According to the development targets, Guiyang will focus on the construction of five major big data industrial systems, including artificial intelligence, quantum information, mobile communication, the Internet of Things, and blockchain to make big data a powerful engine for the city's high-quality economic and social development.

Guiyang will also actively introduce big data enterprises and improve the construction of major big data projects including Southwest Tencent Cloud Technology Service Center, Dell International Software Service Outsourcing Base, and Huawei Smart Manufacturing and Data Center. In addition, the city will deepen the integration of big data and the real economy, building 30 provincial demonstration projects and 300 municipal demonstration projects.

Guiyang also plans to build a big data security system, speeding up the construction of a big data and network security demonstration pilot city, as well as the construction of a national big data security industry demonstration zone. The 2019 Guiyang Big Data and Network Security Elite Competition will begin during the China International Big Data Industry Expo next month.

Last year, the revenue of Guiyang big data enterprises' main businesses reached 100 billion yuan. The city has also added 51 new big data enterprises and signed 82 big data industrial projects. The implement of the big data strategic action has provided strong support for the high-quality development of Guiyang.
