Taxis

Many taxi companies serve Sanya and the surrounding areas and you can easily find them on the streets.

The taxi fare in Sanya is 11 yuan for the first 2.5 kilometers and 2.4yuanper km thereafter.

Buses

Sanya has an extensive public bus network serving the city center, major scenic spots and surrounding areas. The basic fare is 2 yuan, whichvaries according to the distance travelled, and thefee on urban lines ranges from 2-12 yuan.

Operating hours are generally around 6 am-07:40 pm, depending on the bus routes.

Long-Distance Bus

Buses from Sanya to other towns and cities in Hainan, as well as some cities elsewhere, depart from the main Bus Station in Jiefang Road, nearby Bu Xing Jie (CommercialWalking Street).

Tickets should be bought before boarding in the ticket hall by the main street entrance.

In addition there are daily bus services to Sanya from major cities such as Nanning, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Xiamen.
