Several mobile libraries have recently hit the roads of Hohhot, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, providing access to DVDs, newspapers, and over 2,000 newly published books.

The libraries are meant to provide the public with better access to books and information. They also offer digital access to the online services of the Hohhot Library.

The library-on-wheels contains self-service machines for borrowing and returning books and other library materials, televisions, and roll-out awnings to provide shade for readers.

Several full-time workers are responsible for updating the book collections and offering assistance with the libraries' digital services.

The mobile libraries will travel to Ulanhu Memorial Hall, Genghis Khan Park, Huanyu shopping mall, and the Inner Mongolia Department of Coal Geology, according to their schedule.

There are plans to bring the mobile libraries to even more places in the future, including to cultural, sporting, and family events.
