China Southern Airlines announced it is going to improve its air routes from the northeastern city of Shenyang, when the summer and autumn flight season arrives.

From March 31 to Oct 26, the company will add three domestic routes, optimize five ones, and reopen three international routes in Shenyang.

Three domestic routes -- including one from Shenyang-Lanzhou-Xishuangbanna (one flight per day); Shenyang-Qingdao-Beihai (one flight every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday); and Shenyang-Qingdao-Guilin (one flight every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday) -- will be launched to develop the tourism market of western and southern China.

Meanwhile, the company will optimize its routes from Shenyang to Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Urumqi, Xi'an and Chengdu, adjusting flight schedules or arranging more non-stop flights.

Since April 28, the Shenyang-Jeju route has been reopened with two flights per week (every Thursday and Sunday), while the flights from Shenyang to Vladivostok (every Monday and Friday) will be resumed on July 5.

In addition, three flights (every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday) will serve the Shenyang-Irkutsk route from July 9.
