Dalian Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment

The Dalian Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment is a business organization made up of enterprises that have received foreign investment, enterprises with investment from Overseas Chinese and compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, as well as enterprises and representative offices established in Dalian by overseas companies and institutions, plus other enterprises and organizations.

Founded in January 1990, the association now has nearly 500 member companies, of which are 18 vice-presidential units, 15 standing council units, and 15 council members.

Its major responsibilities include serving members and investors and safeguarding their lawful rights and interests; reflecting the views or requirements from members and investors to the government and relevant authorities; improving the investment environment; enhancing  mutual understanding, exchange and cooperation between members and the government; coordinating and solving the difficulties and problems encountered with recruiting and managing members.

1. Provide advisory services for policies, laws and regulations to members and investors.

2. Promote the lawful operation of members, strengthen enterprise management, and enhance a sense of self-protection, self-development and self-restraint.

3. Receive complaints from members, and promptly report to the government and relevant departments with opinions and requirements.

4. Organize training courses, seminars, discussions, lectures and other activities to publicize policies and regulations, in order to improve enterprise management and adaptability.

5. Take charge of the confirmation and annual assessment of export-oriented enterprises and technologically-advanced enterprises with foreign investment in Dalian.

6. Be responsible for the annual review, selection, recommendation and declaration of excellent foreign-invested enterprises to the associations at the next level up.
