"Gougou" (勾勾), a data analysis platform developed by a Guizhou-based technology company, was launched on March 28, becoming China's first educational big data platform.

The platform has an academic monitoring and evaluation system that can analyze data collected through a smart pen and marking system. The system can provide academic evaluations to assist schools in improving their teaching quality and help students improve their academic performance.

The platform's smart pen will scan student tests with a camera and upload them for analysis. The analysis system will analyze the data in real-time, marking the test papers and providing the correct answers in the app.

The platform provides different apps for teachers, students and parents, and also for schools. The apps allow teachers to arrange and correct homework and in-class tests, prepare lessons, and make notes.

Students and parents can use the app to check corrected homework and test results, and also analyze their mistakes. Schools can use the app to import question banks, generate academic performance reports, collect data, and provide test papers online.
