The first training center for first aid skills to treat cardiovascular disease -- that has been officially authorized by the American Heart Association -- was inaugurated at the Inner Mongolia People's Hospital in Hohhot, capital of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on March 27.

According to local media reports, as the first AHA authorized training center in the region, the hospital has various cutting-edge professional equipment in place for cardio disease first aid training.

In addition, there are six basic life support course instructors there, who were trained and supervised by the AHA and are accredited by the association, able to conduct BLS training for healthcare professionals and to provide  training to the public.

In future, the new center will combine regional characteristics with its syllabus to create a standardized training system to provide corresponding support for improving and standardizing the first aid skills of medical and health personnel.

The center will also undertake first aid professional and technical training in the region, promote the popularization and promotion of life support training, and train more and better first aid and critical medical staff for medical and health care institutions at all levels.
