Harbin to create 4,000 new parking bays

Around 40,000 new parking bays will be set up in the urban area of Harbin city this year to release the pressure on parking, according to information from its traffic police department.

Officials said the department will also intensify supervision and punishment of drivers who do not park according to the designated parking bays or park on the blind curve of roads.

Qunli New Zone, as an emerging urban center of the city, will establish 2,000 new parking lots.

Currently, the first batch of more than 400 parking lots on Rongjiang Road, Longhu Road and Dianchi Road in Qunli New Zone have been set up and put into use.
