Bangchui Island, with 50 hectares that are covered by land, consists of an offshore area of 0.3 sq km, named for its shape that appears like a wooden club. The eastern part of Bangchui Island is the beach. It is 500 meters long with soft white sand and clear water. It is known as one of the best beaches in Dalian. The coastal waters around the beach also have numerous sea treasures like crabs, conches, and sea cucumbers.

It is a great place for offshore boat fishing. Even at night, the shore has fluorescent rods on the bank. When there are many visitors, fishing fans can also find their own pure land near the cliffs and reefs, from where they can catch snakeheads, yellow croakers, and flatfish.
