The fourth China (Jintang) Plum Flower Festival opened on March 23 at the Lizi Park in Jintang Island, Dinghai district, Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province, attracting many visitors to the park's 267-hectare plum flower field.

The two-week festival, hosted by the Jintang government and administrative committee, aims at strengthening the ties between Zhoushan and Ningbo to boost the integration of the two cities.
There will be several activities to strengthen the two cities' cultural and tourist exchanges, such as a tour in the Xianren Mountain for outdoor sports clubs of Zhoushan and Ningbo, and a flower admiring activity for women of the two cities.
The opening ceremony of the festival also saw art performances given by members of Ningbo's Haichen Art Troupe and the local art performers from Zhoushan, such as dances, solos, choruses, traditional music instrument playing and a qipao show.

In addition to various activities and performances, there will also be many local delicacies available during the festival.
