Shanghai General Motor (SGM) (Shenyang) Beisheng Automobile Co Ltd, was established in 2004 and is a Sino-foreign joint venture that merges SAIC Motor Corporation Limited, General Motors China, and SAIC General Motors Corporation Limited.

With a total investment of $564 million and a registered capital of $227 million, SGM (Shenyang) Beisheng Automobile Co Ltd covers an area of 413,000 square meters and a construction area of 35,000 sq m. The company mainly focuses on the automobile and motorcycle industry. To date, the company has produced 150,000 cars and achieved sales revenue of 20 billion yuan ($2.98 billion).
