Fashion industry

Located next to Hangzhou New Sijiqing Clothes Wholesale Market and Qiaosi Garment Processing Zone, as well as Haining Leather City, Linping New City plays an exemplary role in regional development of the Chinese fashion industry.

The city built Yishang Town, a fashion industrial town in Hangzhou in 2015, with an investment of 8.06 billion yuan ($1.2 billion). It has achieved an accumulated revenue of 14.8 billion yuan and tax revenue of 935 million yuan. There have been 31 innovative regional headquarters and 405 fashion enterprises introduced to the town.

Yishang Town strives to cultivate design talents and build a healthy and efficient innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem. As a new landmark of Chinese fashion, Yishang Town brings outstanding talents into the fashion industry, including 24 top designers from home and abroad.

Zhang Yichao, one of the Top Ten Fashion Designers in China, along with the School of Fashion of Zhejiang University of Science and Technology and the School of Fashion of Wuhan Textile University jointly established two major fashion talent training bases in 2017, to support and provide more internship and entrepreneurial opportunities for students and designers.
