Junngar Banner starts construction of new highway

The government of Juungar Banner in Ordos will start construction of a new highway linking two towns - - Xuejiawan and Liuqingliang --, according to a recent local media report. The 7-kilometer highway will cost an estimated 77 million yuan ($11.47 million), and the project is expected to be completed in 2020. Officials said the highway is of great significance, in that it will improve the banner’s transportation network and spur the development of the tourism industry along the highway.
