Innovation platforms become economy driver

Wuxi achieved fruitful results in implementing the strategy of innovation-driven growth by setting up 602 platforms of sci-tech innovation above provincial level, ranking second in Jiangsu province, according the statics from the Wuxi Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology.

In 2018, the city had three projects - the IoT Innovation Center, the Super Computing Technology Innovation Center and the Deep & High Sea Equipment Lab - listed as provincial and national major technological infrastructure and innovation center projects.

Wuxi Zhongwei High-Tech Electronics Co Ltd gained top place in the Jiangsu performance assessment of platforms. Its integrated circuit packaging service platform can provide services for colleges and universities, scientific research institutes, and integrated circuit enterprises.

The platforms brought about enormous company benefits. The public service platform of intelligent manufacturing and robot application technology created by the HUST-Wuxi Research Institute helped Zhongding Integration Technology Co Ltd double sales in 2018. The intelligent and automatic services provided by the platform allowed the company to deal goods more efficiently.

The platform, founded three years ago, has established cooperation relationships with more than 100 enterprises and helped them create extra output value of several billions of yuan.
