American, Quzhou students plant trees on Tree Planting Day

Students and teachers from Topeka High School in the United States planted trees along with their peers from Quzhou No 2 High School on March 12, the Arbor Day in China.

The 12 Topeka students and teachers planted 10 crape myrtles and prunus campanulata.

Then they joined the Quzhou students and hung a plate printed with "Friendship between Topeka High School – Quzhou No 2 High School" to a tree to commemorate their good relations.

"I appreciate your green and low-carbon educational idea," said Robert Hays, vice-president of Topeka High School, during the activity. "I really admire your way of parenting your children."

This is the second time that Amarachi Nwakpuda has chosen Quzhou No 2 High School as her destination of overseas study tour and she was impressed by Quzhou's beauty, tidiness and friendliness during her first study tour in the city.
