Self-service machine simplifies business procedures

A new machine able to print business licenses was installed in Heping district, Shenyang, Liaoning province on March 1.

The machine will be available 24 hours a day and is designed to allow applicants to print their license as quickly as possible, following approval from local authorities. 

An applicant's identity will be verified by the machine using facial recognition technology. And they will also need to scan their national ID card.

One of the first people to use the new service was Jin Hailing, an operator of a newly-registered local firm.

It took less than a minute to print my license; much quicker than waiting in line, she said. 

Shenyang is committed to improving its business environment and maintaining fast and efficient government services, said Li Zhihe, director of the business environment construction bureau of Heping district.
