No-fare Hengqin-Macao commuter rides have started

Free cross-border buses began running between Hengqin New Area and Macao on March 1 with up to 24 shifts daily. They can be reserved via the WeChat account of Kee Kwan Motor Road (ID: gh_71d5cbce25c7).

The shuttles pick up passengers at Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Science & Technology Industrial Park of Cooperation Between Guangdong & Macao and take them to Grand Lisboa Macau. The route runs in both directions with seven stops covering the Macau Peninsula, Taipa Island, and Hengqin New Area.

Currently the reservation system is accessible by the entire public. But in a later stage it will prioritize employees of Macao-founded enterprises in Hengqin and Macao residents in Hengqin. Operation costs are subsidized by the Hengqin New Area Administrative Committee.

From Hengqin to Macao:

The return journey takes the stops in reverse order.
