Nanyang compiles directory of prominent figures

On Feb 23, researchers and writers from the Nanyang Culture Research Institute traveled to Shenzhen, Zhuhai, and Guangzhou to carry out a study on successful Nanyang natives.

Since the beginning of reform and opening-up, Nanyang has produced a huge number of entrepreneurs, and the more ambitious ones have started setting up businesses all around the country, serving as beacons of inspiration for Nanyang and the nation. Nanyang's local culture institute decided to compile a directory of prominent entrepreneurs, inventors, Internet finance experts, and other industry representatives from Nanyang.

The industrial elite form the backbone of the regional and national economy, and Nanyang people are known for their honesty, integrity, and intelligence in business matters.

These people are not just industrious entrepreneurs, they are also Nanyang's pride and joy, researchers from the local culture research institute said. It is the institute's duty to record and promote their inspiring stories. The researchers added that the directory was also meant to attract talented Nanyang natives back home to help develop the city.
