China showcases rail innovations at Dubai expo

The Nansha-based China Railway Tunnel Group, together with China Railway Hi-Tech Industry Corporation Limited, showcased a range of high-speed rail innovations and services at the 2019 Middle East Rail event held in Dubai, UAE from Feb 26 to 28. 

For over a decade, Middle East Rail has been the region's leading event for leaders of the regional rail industry and rail operators to gather, talk, and do business.

There were 300 well-known rail companies from countries such as the United States, Germany, France, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and China attending the exhibition, with their exhibits involving the construction of railway infrastructure, railway equipment, management and control systems, intelligent urbanization, digital innovation, and asset management.

The Chinese companies exhibited a number of advanced equipment technologies and management systems, and representative projects included the "Caiyun" roadheader, the largest hard rock roadheader independently developed by China.
