The Rongchang High-tech Industrial Development Zone was originally the Rongchang Industrial Park and the State Council approved its upgrading to a national high-tech zone on Feb 28, 2018.
It comprises three parks of Banqiao, Guangfu and Ronglong, focusing on intelligent equipment manufacturing, food and medicine, light industry and ceramics and agriculture and high-tech animal husbandry.
The zone's built-up area is home to 485 industrial companies and 10 Fortune Global 500 and China's top 500 companies.
The equipment manufacturing industry plans to develop an industrial system focusing on intelligent equipment, special equipment, key auto components and parts and mould making. It has attracted more than 200 such kinds of enterprises.
The light industry and ceramics field plans to develop industries of ceramics, grass cloth and glasses while the food and medicine sector has attracted 120-plus companies. The agriculture and animal husbandry high-tech industry wants to develop an industrial system involving scientific research, breeding, farming, processing, fodder, veterinary drug and market.
The zone enjoys an advantaged location, convenient transportation, various incentives and efficient services. It aims to further attract businesses and investment and improve the business environment.
