Shenyang sees 13.5 percent rise in foreign trade

The total volume of imports and exports in Shenyang, Liaoning province continued to grow in 2018 reaching 98.43 billion yuan ($14.50 billion), with a year-on-year rise of 13.5 percent, according to information obtained from Shenyang customs on Jan 21.

Specifically, the export trade reached 34.21 billion yuan, an increase of 7.7 percent, while import trade reached 64.21 billion yuan, increasing by 16.8 percent.

In 2018, the growth rate of import and export in Shenyang was 1.7 percentage points higher than that in the province. Exports fared better with a growth rate 2 percentage points higher than that of the whole province, while imports grew at the same rate as in the province.
