Lights, food, and cultural entertainment adorn Tai'an for Spring Festival

Spring Festival, the Chinese Lunar New Year, which falls on Feb 5 this year, is on the way and a week-long holiday is coming up. Tai'an, in East China's Shandong province, has prepared a series of activities for people to enjoy during the biggest festival in the country. The following are some of the highlights.

1. Tianyi Lake Scenic Area

Tianyi Lake Scenic Area is to hold a lantern show from Feb 5 to 19, largest of its kind in Tai'an, to offer an opportunity for people to experience the traditional Chinese culture.

A temple fair featuring folk performances, exhibitions of intangible cultural heritages and authentic snacks will be staged at the same time.
