Forbidden City antiques on display in Shenyang

Furniture from the Palace Museum's Hall of Mental Cultivation (Yangxindian) pictured on display at Liaoning Provincial Museum in Shenyang, capital of Liaoning province, on Jan 18. The exhibition features 285 fascinating historical items from the hall, which was built in 1537 and was used as a bedroom by eight emperors during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). Antiques including items made from jade, enamel, and porcelain are part of the exhibition in Liaoning. The exhibits are currently on a nationwide tour, and their display in Shenyang will last until April 18. [Photo/VCG]
