Hospital of Stomatology of Xi'an Jiaotong University

The Hospital of Stomatology of Xi'an Jiaotong University is a comprehensive Grade-III Class-A stomatology specialty hospital which is directly under the National Health Committee, and integrates medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, and preventive health care.

Founded in 1985, the hospital has 589 in-service faculty members, including 80 experts and professors. There are 20,000 square meters of business space, 255 dental chairs and 76 beds. It receives 400,000 emergency visits, and 2,000 discharges annually.

The hospital currently has one headquarter and three specialist outpatient departments, of which there are fourteen clinical departments in the hospital headquarter. Its orthodontics department is a national key clinical specialty; the department of oral medicine and prosthodontics are dominant disciplines in Shaanxi province.

For the past years, the hospital has undertaken 368 scientific research projects of the Natural Science Foundation of China, “863” Program, Provincial Department, and Municipal Department, and obtained 19 achievements above the provincial-level, 21 national utility model patents, and eight national invention patents.

The hospital actively conducts academic exchanges and cooperation with universities, research institutes and medical institutions at home and abroad. In recent years, it has established cooperative relations with academic groups and medical institutions in many countries and regions such as the United States, Germany, Japan, and Norway.
