Founded in Shenzhen in 1985, Overseas Chinese Town Holdings Company (OCT Group) is a large-scale central enterprise directly managed by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council. OCT Group's businesses cover the fields of tourism and related cultural industry, real estate and hotel development and management, electronics and supporting packaging products manufacturing. 

In recent years, OCT has built a number of large-scale integrated cultural and sports projects in Shenzhen, Beijing, Tianjin, Nanjing, Wuhan, Zhengzhou, Chengdu and other places. It promotes the integration of culture and related industries, introduces superior enterprises, and accelerates the development of film and television services, animation games, digital culture, entertainment, theme parks and other industries, making the cultural tourism industry a pillar industry for sustainable development. 

OCT has built numerous theme parks in China, among which Happy Valley which has opened in seven cities across the nation has become the only Chinese well-known trademark in the domestic theme park industry.
