Shum Yip Group is a large-scale comprehensive enterprise group wholly owned by Shenzhen Municipal People's Government and directly managed by Shenzhen State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission. The Group's predecessor, Shum Yip Co Ltd was founded in Hong Kong in 1983. At present, the Group focuses on real estate development, operation services, infrastructure construction, and emerging industry investment, as well as modern agriculture, high-tech manufacturing and other fields. As of the end of June 2018, the Group's total assets were 111.8 billion yuan ($16.53 billion), net assets were 41.8 billion yuan, and the land bank was nearly 13 million square meters.

For a long time, Shum Yip Group, as the economic and trade representative office of the Shenzhen Municipal Government in Hong Kong, has made positive contributions to the introduction of capital, technology, projects and modern management experience in Shenzhen and the Chinese Mainland.
