World's first ceramic insulator production line starts operation

A Hohhot-based company launched its first self-developed automatic production line of ceramic insulators on Jan 12. It is also the first of its kind throughout the world.

Inner Mongolia Jingcheng Ceramic Insulator Co Ltd, situated in the city's Jinchuan Development Zone, is an equipment manufacturing enterprise wining support from the national government.

It is one of the qualified ceramic insulator suppliers of State Grid Corporation of China. The company leads the world in productivity and market share of ceramic insulators.

According to the company, its sales revenue reached 380 million yuan ($56.28 million) last year.

The operation of the new production line is expected to help increase China's presence in the global ceramic insulators market.

Ceramic insulators are mainly used in areas such as power generation, medical and electronic industries.

The ceramic insulator market is expected to witness potential growth, owing to increasing applications of ceramic insulators in various industrial sectors and rural areas.
