Sino-Finnish Design Park 

Located in Futian Bonded Area, the Sino-Finnish Design Park covers an area of 61,200 square meters. It is China's first design cultural base with Sino-foreign cooperation, government-led and market-oriented operations, and professional management. As the first key project between Shenzhen and Helsinki after becoming sister cities, the design park was set up to gather global design innovation resources relying on cooperation between Shenzhen and Finland.

The Sino-Finnish Design Park includes a public exhibition hall, a public service platform, an incubator base for innovative projects by young design teams, a Sino-Finnish design center, training and certification center for international design talents, headquarters of international design brands, a cross-strait venture base, Fab Lab and more.

The first phase of the design park covers a construction area of 3 hectares and it has attracted 41 well-known domestic and foreign organizations and brands, including international top design institutions and industry-leading design and innovation enterprises. Totally, 16 foreign institutions and international designers have settled in the park, along with over 20 local pioneers and brands, providing support for the globalization of the regional industry. In 2015, the design park realized a total output value of 1.5 billion yuan ($218.88 million) and more than 500 intellectual properties.

The design park enjoys rapid and high-efficiency customs service for the cargo coming and going between Hong Kong and Shenzhen. It also connects with the urban area of Shenzhen and the Pearl River Delta area, which are both reachable within an hour.
