Daishan releases micro film tracing its transport development

Journey of the Heart, a micro film tracing the transportation development of Daishan county, Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province, over the past four decades was recently released by the publicity department of the CPC Daishan County Committee.

The film records the tremendous changes in the county's transportation from the perspective of a county native who devoted himself to the construction of Xiushan Bridge after graduating from college. 

Xiushan Bridge, connecting Daishan Island and Xiushan Island, is the third link in the project of connecting Daishan Island with Zhoushan Island, following Jiangnan Bridge and Guanshan Bridge. It is also the second largest cross-sea suspension bridge in Zhejiang province. 

The bridge, which was completed last November, will help shorten travel time from Daishan Island to Zhoushan Island from nearly one hour to merely 10 minutes. 

All these bridges, plus the recently completed Yushan Bridge, have greatly improved transportation in Daishan county, which is expected to develop into a traffic hub of the city.
