"It's truly wonderful," said Brad Morgan from the United States about a high-level matchmaking fair for overseas talents and entrepreneurship projects held in Xihu district of Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, on Dec 19.

The fair, aiming to provide a communication platform for overseas talents and investment agencies as well as attract more high-quality overseas projects to settle in the district, gathered 14 teams of foreign experts, many of whom are graduates of world renowned higher institutions, including Stanford University and the University of California.

The projects are mainly in areas of big health, electronic information and the Internet of Things, which are in line with the industrial development of Xihu district.

"I hope our company can land in Hangzhou and thereby open up the Chinese market," said Morgan who showcased his high-precision face recognition projects to the experts and venture capitalists, adding that he fell in love with Hangzhou when he first set foot on the city last May. Hangzhou is endowed with not only beautiful natural scenery but also a first-class business environment and great potential to become the Chinese "Silicon Valley".

It is expected that the matchmaking activity will bring more high-quality talent projects to Xihu district and stimulate a new momentum for innovation, according to a local official.
