The city of Ordos in Inner Mongolia autonomous region put 71 new buses powered by new energy into operation Dec 25.

The buses, operated by the public transport service company Tian’an Gongjiao Group, were allocated to Dongsheng and Kangbashi districts, and Ejin Horoo Banner.

Currently, 184 new energy buses are used in the downtown areas of Ordos, accounting for 34.4 percent of the total buses running in the city.

On this occasion, all the buses, 56 of which are 8.5 meters long and 15 of which are 10.69 m long, are all exclusively powered by electricity without any emission of pollutants.

This is the third time that the company has introduced new energy buses with the aim of answering the nation’s call to conserve energy and reduce emissions, said Song Jianwen, deputy manager of the Dongsheng affiliated company of Tian’an Gongjiao Group, during an interview with a local media organization.
