Projects worth $12b signed for Ningbo in Beijing

The Ningbo (Beijing) Investment & Cooperation Conference was held in Beijing on Dec 21 to boost cooperation between the eastern city of Zhejiang province and the capital of China. 

The conference, having been held four times, aims to promote the business climate of Ningbo among Beijing investors and attract established State-owned enterprises, innovative private companies, research institutes and universities to settle in or cooperate with Ningbo. 

A total of 40 projects worth 83.4 billion yuan ($12 billion) were inked at the conference, covering advanced manufacturing such as the green petrochemical industry, smart manufacturing and biomedicine, and modern services such as financial insurance, tourism and elderly care. 

These projects are expected to serve as a catalyst for the transformation and upgrading of the city’s industrial structure and drive the overall development of its regional economy.
