SkyView Aircraft unveils Kodiak 100 Series II in Hangzhou

The Jiande base of SkyView Aircraft (SVA), a customer-oriented international general aviation company in China, delivered the first KODIAK 100 Series II in Jiande, a county-level city in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, on Dec 20.

Jiande Aviation Town is the only manufacturing, sales and delivery center of KODIAK 100 Series II.

An advancement from the first generation of KODIAK 100, the series II aircraft ranks among the top ten single-engine turboprops in the world and is fitted for air tours, short-distance transportation and skydiving.

"Located in the Yangtze River Delta, one of the most dynamic economic areas, Jiande aviation town is adorned with desirable conditions and a natural environment in East China," said Wu Zhiling, president of SVA.

"We will build up policy support for the research and development of general aviation and unmanned aerial vehicles while introducing more talents in aviation industry," said a local official from the town.

Since the establishment in 2016, Jiande Aviation Town has introduced 45 projects with total investment hitting 19.7 billion yuan ($2.86 billion).

In 2017, the town was listed among the second batch of characteristic towns in China.

Founded in 2014, SVA is the exclusive KODIAK dealer of US-based Quest Aircraft Company in China, and has two production bases to date, including Jiande and Zhenjiang in East China's Jiangsu province.
