Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang province, launched a service platform for intellectual property in the city on Dec 18.

Centering on intellectual property creation, utilization, protection and management, the platform is designed to provide all-round services for companies in Hangzhou.

An innovation park on intellectual property was also unveiled in Zhejiang Hangzhou Future Sci-Tech City (Haichuang Park), an innovation and venture platform for overseas high-level talents with 11 companies having signed to settle in the park, including Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) Innovation Cooperation Center (Bangkok), the first CAS overseas organization promoting global science, technology and innovation.

"What attracts me most is the economic vitality and policy environment in the region," said an official from CAS Innovation Cooperation Center (Bangkok).

These enterprises are renowned service agencies on intellectual property and are expected to support projects with market-oriented services, according to Xu Jin, vice director of Zhejiang Hangzhou Future Sci-Tech City (Haichuang Park).

In the first half of 2018, Hangzhou was approved as a national intellectual property pilot city by the State Intellectual Property Office.
