Jinan Forest Park is situated at the foot of Kuangshan Mountain, covering 54 hectares with more than 700,000 plants in a 50-hectare green space. Construction of the park started in March 2010 and was completed in December of that year.

The park is one of 12 projects to benefit the public undertaken by the CPC Jinan municipal committee and the local government. Attractions in the park include four lakes, eight gardens and 12 bridges.

Based on the landform, plants, water and buildings, it has combined traditional elements with modern technologies and new materials, such as photovoltaic power generation, ground source heat pumps and light steel structures to offer visitors a special sightseeing experience.

The park has beautiful scenery in different seasons – blooming flowers in spring, dense tree shade in summer, colorful autumn views and verdant hills in winter. People can see green plants in the park in the four seasons and admire flowers in three seasons.

The simple, natural landscape and wildlife make it a natural oxygen bar, a leisure paradise. Located in the west of downtown Jinan, it is positioned as a leisure, science education and fitness urban park with forests, wetlands, lakes, streams and sculptures.

Jinan Forest Park is promoting mass cultural activities and trying to offer brand services for people to enjoy family time together. It vows to further improve its services to enhance ties among family members, a policy that has been well received by local residents and visitors.
