Jinan Botanical Garden, located on 80 hectares in Zhangqiu district of Jinan, was open to the public in 2006. It is a comprehensive garden where people can enjoy nature, gain knowledge about plants and enjoy a relaxing time.

Only 35 kilometers from the downtown of Jinan city, the garden enjoys a favorable location. It is next to provincial highway line 243 on the east, national highway line 309 on the north, and only 26 km from Jinan International Airport.

Thanks to its beautiful ecological environment, the garden is popular with the local people. It is a national 4A scenic spot and has been honored as a "Jinan outstanding scenic spot". It is also the base for popular science education and the promotion of flowers and nursery stocks introduced from foreign countries.

There are themed sub-gardens growing cherry trees, peonies, bamboo, roses and many other plants. People can hold wedding ceremonies in Chinese and Western styles and arrange outdoor recreational activities.

Xiexiangxuan Restaurant serves specialties from different places to meet customers various requirements. Facilities, such as rocking chairs, hammocks, swings and seesaws, are installed all around the garden so that people can have a rest or enjoy fun activities at any time.

Events such as tree-planting days, hiking festivals, flower shows and camping festivals are regularly held and are well-received by the public.
