Hongye Valley, which lies in the southern mountainous area of Jinan, is the leading leisure venue in the region around Jinan. It's the best place for viewing thousands of red leaves in autumn, and the charming scenery of springs, lakes, hills, rivers and valleys. There are thousands of hectares of Cotinus jungle. When autumn falls, everywhere will be colored red, and each jungle will be painted in shades of red. Autumn is the most beautiful season in Hongye Valley. Numerous sites like Shengshui Spring, Green Garden, Water Garden and Colorful Autumn Lake will keep visitors from leaving. The valley is open from 8 am to 6 pm, and tickets are 40 yuan ($5.81).
