Nanyang among top 100 business cities in China

Nanyang, Henan province recently made the list of China's Top 100 Cities for Business, released by Forbes China, according to the local commercial affairs bureau in a statement on Dec 11.

Forbes China has released the list every year since 2004. It is based on eight criteria: talent, size, purchasing power, public transportation, freight transportation, private sector strength, operation costs and innovation.

The list recognizes the Chinese cities that offer the best business and living environment, providing a reference for investors through the analysis of investment data.

According to an official from the Nanyang municipal commercial affairs bureau, this achievement demonstrates that Nanyang is widely appreciated for its business environment at home and abroad, and is a strong player in Central China.

As the center of politics, economy, culture, science, education, transportation, finance and commerce in southwestern Henan province, Nanyang has seen strong development in recent years. Its GDP has been among the top three in the province for the past several years.
