Hangzhou revs up film, TV industry

The China (Zhejiang) International Cooperation Experimental Zone For Film and TV Industry was officially put into use in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, according to an announcement at a promotion event of Chinese film and TV industry on Dec 13.

Located in the Zijingang campus of Zhejiang University, the zone is the only national-level industry park that aims to promote cultural exports in films and TV programs, and an important base for Hangzhou to facilitate TV and film industry.

The zone, covering an area of 120,000 square meters, is set to be a platform in six key areas, including international film and TV exchange, culture creativity, business incubation, talent cultivation, investment and financing, and global film and TV culture research.

The zone will strive to build an international renowned plant for film and TV industry and promote the fine Chinese film and TV works to the world, according to a local official.
