The Museum of Wuchang Uprising of 1911 Revolution is a memorial museum. It is located at the former site of the Hubei Military Government (Wuchang Uprising Military Government) of the Republic of China, and is popularly referred to as the "Red Building" by locals for its red walls and roofs.

The Wuchang Uprising in 1911 marked the beginning of the Xinhai Revolution, which eventually overthrew the Qing dynasty (1644-1911) and ended China's imperial rule. Shortly afterwards the first democratic government of China was established. The museum was built based on the Red Building in October 1981, and an inscription of the name of the Museum of Wuchang Uprising of 1911 Revolution was given by Soong Ching Ling (1893-1981), the late Honorary President of the People's Republic of China.

Four permanent exhibitions in the museum are open to the public throughout the year. They are "Restoration of Hubei Military Government Site", which showcases the original setting and style of the Military Government at the beginning of its establishment, "Groundbreaking-Historical Relics of Wuchang Uprising of 1911 Revolution", which is displayed in the backyard of the site and gives a full view of the revolution’s background, events, outcome and influence, "Introductory of the Wuchang Uprising of 1911 Revolution", and "Historical Relics of Hubei Provincial Assembly".
