Doumen Public Park

The 56,000-sq-m (14-acre) Doumen Public Park opened late Aug 2018.

The 28-million yuan ($4.4 million) project is nestled at the foot of Jianfeng Mt. The fresh air there will help to restore energy, preparing goers for cultural, leisure, fitness, and entertainment activities.

There are landscape structures, flower trellises, stages, weatherproof corridors, and workout facilities. The park also has a 1-km (half-mile) walking path and a spacious lawn for people to fly kites or go on a picnic. The park supports the nearby Zhufeng International Innovation & Exhibition centers.

Infrastructure in Doumen is also to be enhanced by Dongdi Road in the Baijiao section, which is to open to traffic by the end of 2018. Huangyang River's east dike is also being upgraded to facilitate water conservancy. Furthermore, the 20-km (12-mile) Xianghai Bridge will be completed in 2020 with smoother connections to its western and eastern ends.
