Located at Nanshui Town, Gaolan Port Economic Zone of Jinwan District, Feisha (Flying Sand) Beach is renowned for delicate sand. It is about 600 m long and 200 m wide, flanked by dense subtropical plants. Soft sand, crystal clear blue water and bright sunshine attract visitors.

There are seven spectacular beaches around the area, namely Large Feisha, Xisha Bay, Baisha Bay, Xieqian Bay, Sanlang Bay, Xizhen Bay and Wenzhou Island.

The environment, BBQ areas and roads leading to the mountaintop have been significantly improved. The beach was also broadened by 50 m to 250 m while a thousand parking spaces were added.

Moreover, a road for mountain climbing and a viewing platform have been built, and the gate to the beach has been rebuilt into an archway of 5 m tall and 33 m wide. The disordered temporary stores along the street have also been reconstructed in the Lingnan architectural style.

Additionally, a 9-m-high granite statue of Matsu has been erected to echo the nearby Matsu Temple built in the Ming Dynasty (AD 1368-1644).

The best time to travel to Feisha is in summer, when the island is most beautiful; however, remember to bring protection against the burning sun. It is possible to camp overnight, with barbecues available and fantastic seafood offered by the area.
