Suzhou New District (SND) Integrated Free Trade Zone, located in the north of SND, was set up on August 10, 2010, by the State Council.
The integrated free trade zone is divided into four areas based on their different functions: port work, areas for logistics and two industrial parks for supporting facilities and bonded manufacturing.
A total of 224 market players have settled in the area with total investment adding up to $3.61 billion. It has an area of 2.27 square kilometers for various kinds of factories and warehouses.
In 2017, the total industrial output value of the integrated free trade zone was 62.47 billion yuan ($9 billion), up 2.2 percent year-on-year. The total export and import value rose 35.9 percent to $18.63 billion, with total investment in fixed assets reaching 932 million yuan.
